1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Workshop B: Designing a Framework to Plug the Talent Gap for Adoption of Immersive Technologies

John Masud Parvez - Chief Information Officer, Hoan My Medical Corporation
The adoption of immersive technologies is on the rise, but the lack of talent and skills have been thwarting many businesses from embracing them. It is generally considered that skills required for immersive technologies should be taught from an early age. However, many believe that it is possible to reskill the current workforce and that it is necessary to find a way to entice skilled individuals into their respective organisation.
  • Implementing strategies to secure the best entry-level talent with more niche skillsets
  • Re-skilling the current workforce with knowledge or skills required for using immersive tools
  • Leveraging on tech apprenticeship schemes as a long-term solution to address skills shortage and equip the next generation of talent
